Beginner-Friendly Farmhouse DIYs with the Cricut Explore Air 2

What Cricut should I buy?

Cricut currently offers 3 different machines at three different price points and capabilities. Click each name to learn more.

CRICUT JOY
Cuts 50+ materials, including iron-on, cardstock, vinyl, paper, and Smart Materials™ – super-easy, super-long cuts without a cutting mat You do need special mats for this size and you can’t cut as wide of decals as you can on the machine I showed. I have a Joy, but I use it as a companion to my Explore Air 2.

CRICUT EXPLORE AIR 2
Cuts 100 materials – everything from cardstock, vinyl, and iron-on to a range of specialty materials. For a beginner, this is what I’d recommend to get the most bang for your buck.

CRICUT MAKER
Cuts 300+ materials, from the most delicate fabric and paper to matboard and leather If you plan to cut more difficult materials (like wood), while this is more expensive, it could be worth it. I don’t have a Maker, but I would love to get one eventually!
