Get in loser, we’re going shopping! (Ha! I couldn’t resist)
My sweet sister-in-law, Rachael, had to deal with a ton of stress and uncertainty being a COVID bride. Now that things are open again in Illinois, she’s able to enjoy all the bridal merriment she had to miss last year.
While she and my brother got married in a small ceremony last year, I still wanted to go big for this party because you only get this once! All she told us was that she wanted a Mean Girls-Themed Bachelorette Party, and we ran with it. We made over an AirB&B in Madison, Wisconsin into a So Fetch party. We had a wonderful weekend and I wanted to share how easy it was to create these themed items to celebrate one of my favorite people!

WHAT FONT IS THE MEAN GIRLS BURN BOOK?
I’m a firm believer in the fact that a font can make or break a project – and then the entire party. I wanted to find something similar to the Mean Girls Burn Book font, but because that was a one-time thing, I wanted to keep it affordable. I ended up finding the font All Rights Reserved and it was perfect.
I also found Intrepid, which too was free, and used it in various weights to match the Mean Girls movie poster from 2004 – man, does that make me feel old!

DIY MEAN GIRLS BACHELORETTE T-SHIRTS
I purchased the blank shirts from Jiffy Shirts and I really liked the quality! I also like that they have bulk pricing, but you don’t have to buy in bulk – that’s a huge win!]

MORE MEAN GIRLS BACHELORETTE PARTY IDEAS
One of the coolest parts of the party – in my opinion – was an idea from Rachael’s sister to do a Burn Book with photos. The polaroid camera was so much fun and it was from Amazon. The Burn Book Journal was also from Amazon.
She took the Instax camera to each event with us and was also in charge of making sure she got photos of each guest with the bride. All the photos were then adhered to the book making an easy but amazing memento for Rachael. This is a MUST DO for your Mean Girls party!
THINGS TO DO IN MADISON, WISCONSIN FOR A BACHELORETTE PARTY
If you are planning a Bachelorette Party in Madison, WI (regardless of the theme) here are two things we did that I would totally recommend!
REVEL CRAFT BAR
Revel is this adorable craft bar right in the heart of downtown. We did a private party, but you can also drop in on the weekends to do some craft projects. Each attendee picked their craft (ranging from $18 – $50) and we had 2 hours to create. Each project came with all the supplies as well as very well-written instructions so that anyone could be successful with their project. I etched some adorable beer glasses, and the other girls did string art and vinyl confetti decor. The kits also came with a confetti popper to shoot off when you finished your project, and that was so fun!
TROLLEY PUB MADISON
Now, I know pedal taverns are controversial – it’s a ton of work, so you either love or hate them. We had a blast jamming to 90’s pop, TikTok hits, and even a little Whitney Houston while we saw the city. The staff was great as well – I would recommend it!
