Hey, friend!

If you’re like me, then you love to use your vinyl cutting machine for all sorts of projects and crafts. But sometimes, buying all the blanks and supplies can get pricey… which is why I love shopping at Dollar Tree!

They’ve got a huge selection of Cricut blank options, plus they now also sell vinyl and tools you can use wh! Today, I’ll be sharing what kinds of blanks you can find in Dollar Tree stores (both inside and outside of the crafting aisle) — and showing how to make fun Cricut DIYs at home with them. And if you have another brand of cutting machine, no worries! You can make these projects, too!

DOWNLOAD FREE VINYL CUT FILES

I love sharing my free .PNG and .SVG cut files for you to craft along with me! All you need to do is measure, import, cut, weed, and apply – making these projects quick and easy!

Weeding is the term used to describe the process of removing the excess vinyl from around your design. Or if you’re creating a stencil, remove the parts of the letters you want to stencil.

There are several different types of weeding tools available, and I typically use the Cricut weeding tool. However, I’ve been testing out the Dollar Tree weeding tool and it works pretty well!

If you are weeding something intricate, you’ll need some kind of light source behind your project while you weed (this makes it easier for you to see what you’re doing). And then simply use the hook edge side of your weeding tool—be careful not to poke through any parts that you want to keep! This may take a little practice for beginners but once you get going it shouldn’t take too long at all! Also, if you’d like to see it in action, be sure to watch the video below.
