I’m using 6″ wide dog-eared fence pickets I got at Menards, but you can also use reclaimed wood or pallet wood for these projects. Scrap wood could even work well for many of these projects. I love doing my wood Christmas projects in the summer because Chicagoland gets SO COLD by the time the holidays roll around.
