Hey craft buddy 🤍 If you have a Cricut sitting on your table (or still in the box 👀) and you keep thinking, “I should use this more…” — this post is for you.
Today I’m sharing a full video packed with beginner-friendly Cricut vinyl projects that are quick, simple, and designed to build your confidence — not overwhelm you. Because I’ve found that stacking little wins is WAY better for your confidence than trying a big project and struggling (been there, done that!).

We’re sticking to just two materials:
- Adhesive vinyl – my favorite is this one, and I like this multipack for colors, or this one + my favorite clear transfer tape
- Heat transfer vinyl (HTV / iron-on) – my favorite is this brand
No complicated materials. No advanced techniques. Just projects that make sense and actually help you feel like, “Okay… I CAN do this.” Shop my full favorite Cricut tools and materials list on Amazon here.

Why These Cricut Projects Are Different
A lot of beginner Cricut tutorials jump straight into big layered signs, print-then-cut, engraving, or complex SVGs. In this video, we focus on:
- Measuring properly (the underrated skill!)
- Shadow text + layering
- Using parchment paper to align decals
- Reverse weeding for small fonts
- The difference between adhesive vinyl and HTV
- Warm peel vs cold peel (game changer!)
- Simple wins that build momentum
Because confidence doesn’t come from doing something complicated — it comes from stacking easy wins.

A Quick Note on Confidence
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by your Cricut, I promise — that’s normal. The difference between someone who “knows how to use it” and someone who doesn’t? Practice. That’s it. Well, and a craft buddy like me who can help you through it to get started. 🙂
Start simple. Give yourself easy wins. Use the techniques in this video. And keep going! You absolutely can get there. Let me know in the comments — which project are you making first?
