It’s Dupe Day, Craft Buddies — Holiday Edition!
If your Christmas wish list includes saving money while decorating like a pro, you’re in the right place. In my latest video, I’m sharing high-end Christmas decor dupes that look straight out of Pottery Barn or Williams Sonoma — but for a fraction of the price. These are easy Christmas DIY ideas that prove you can create beautiful, high-end style without breaking the bank.

Decorating Like a Pro on a Dollar Tree Budget

When I say I love a good dupe, I mean it. I scoured stores like Pottery Barn, West Elm, and Kirkland’s to find some of the best designer pieces — then recreated them using items from Hobby Lobby, Walmart, and even Dollar Tree. Every project in this video fits into my motto: DIY instead of buy! You’ll see how small touches like lighting, texture, and finish can instantly make your décor look high-end.

Easy Christmas DIYs You’ll Love

One of my favorite projects in this round was the faux-lit pine branches inspired by Pottery Barn’s $129 version. My dupe? Only $34 total! I used affordable greenery and my go-to fairy lights from Walmart to create that magical glow that makes your home feel warm and festive.

Next up — those gorgeous mini gold photo frames from Williams Sonoma. I found nearly identical plastic frames in the Target Dollar Spot and gave them a total glow-up with espresso spray paint and antique gold Rub ’n Buff. Add your favorite holiday photos, and you’ve got the most charming ornaments or gift toppers for just a couple of dollars each.

Designer Vibes Without the Designer Price Tag

If you love Ralph Lauren-style Christmas décor — rich plaids, textures, and nostalgic touches — you’ll love my take on Pottery Barn’s $249 Norman Rockwell print. I turned an old frame and some plaid fabric into a statement piece that perfectly fits that cozy, classic holiday look.

And for a sweet (and great-smelling!) addition, I made gingerbread-inspired ornaments from a simple cinnamon salt dough recipe. These are the easiest things to make for Christmas, and they’ll make your whole house smell amazing. You can find the full recipe and other ideas for your finished faux cookies here.

DIY Christmas Projects with Heart

From a high-end wreath dupe that started with a $25 Walmart base, to a nativity scene transformation using paint and antique wax, these projects prove you don’t need expensive supplies to create beautiful, meaningful décor. I even gave some thrifted figurines and Santas a chic metallic finish with Rub ’n Buff — giving them that “designer” antique gold look that’s trending everywhere this season.

Each of these easy Christmas DIY crafts can be customized to your own color scheme or style. Whether you love neutrals, vintage, or traditional red and green, these ideas are all about taking what you have (or can find affordably) and giving it that high-end touch.

Let’s DIY Instead of Buy This Christmas

I hope this episode of Dupe Day: Holiday Edition inspires you to look at your décor differently this season. Sometimes all it takes is a little paint, a new ribbon, or a bit of creative thinking to turn something ordinary into something extraordinary.
